MOE syllabus alignment
Fully aligned to the MOE Primary 1 Bahasa Melayu syllabus. Tatabahasa, kefahaman, penulisan and lisan are taught to MOE expectations and exam formats, so the work supports school assessments directly.

What we cover at Primary 1
- Huruf dan bunyi: letters, syllables and clean pronunciation (sebutan)
- Everyday vocabulary: family, school, body, food, colours and numbers
- Simple sentence structure: subjek + predikat with ini/itu
- Common verbs (kata kerja) and adjectives (kata sifat) in short sentences
- Listening and responding to simple spoken instructions
- Reading short picture texts aloud with correct intonation
- Guided writing: 2–3 sentences describing a picture
- Speaking confidence: greetings, introducing oneself, polite phrases

Your child's Primary 1 Bahasa Melayu class is taught by a current or ex-MOE teacher who has taught this level in a Singapore school. We do not publish teacher names or photos — a deliberate policy we explain in full on our teachers page.

Lots of spoken repetition and simple sentence building, kept playful so a P1 child stays willing to try.

Parents get a short note on speaking confidence and reading fluency after each session.

Closed Fri 25 Dec 2026 (Christmas Day), Fri 1 Jan 2027 (New Year's Day), 6–8 Feb 2027 (Chinese New Year, including the observed day), and Wed 10 Mar 2027 (Hari Raya Puasa).
This term starts during the December school holidays and runs straight through into the new academic year — no gap, no separate sign-up needed when the new school year begins in January.

Common FAQ
We speak English at home. Will my child cope?
Yes. Many of our P1 BM students do. We start with spoken confidence and everyday vocabulary before written work.
Is the class taught fully in Malay?
Mostly. At P1 the teacher uses English for clarification so no child is lost, and reduces it as confidence grows.
Do you teach jawi?
Our focus is the MOE examinable syllabus in rumi. Jawi is not part of the programme.
How many children are in one class?
Five. Primary 1 classes are capped at 5 students so your child gets real individual teacher attention and is never lost in a crowd. We only stretch to 7 when a student joins for a make-up lesson.
